Real funerals in Pimlico
A Zimbabwean funeral at Holy Apostles. African singing as the coffin was carried in, a viewing, hymns and tributes, with the family in traditional dress. 571 people watched across nine countries, 179 of them in Harare. You can watch it above. Read the Pimlico case study.
Holy Apostles, then the river. In May 2026 I streamed a second funeral at the church, and the family also booked two hours of filming at the reception at Westminster Boating Base on the Thames, so the stories and the gathering afterwards were kept too.
Pimlico's churches and the nearest crematoria
Holy Apostles on Cumberland Street is the Catholic parish church. St Saviour's on St George's Square and St Gabriel's on Warwick Square are the Anglican landmarks, and Westminster Cathedral is a few minutes' walk away. There's no cemetery in Pimlico, so cremations and burials usually go to Mortlake, Putney Vale or West London at Kensal Green.
