These gatherings are often held weeks or months after a funeral — or instead of a traditional service. They can take place in a hotel, village hall, family home, sports club, garden, woodland site or almost anywhere the family chooses. The tone is usually more personal, with speeches, music, photographs, film tributes and time for people to share memories.
My role is to look after the technical side of the day so family and friends can focus on the person being remembered.

What is a Celebration of Life Service?
A celebration of life service is a gathering held to remember someone, often with a more personal and flexible format than a traditional funeral. It may take place days, weeks or months later, usually without a coffin, and often includes speeches, music, photographs and tribute films.
What is a Memorial Service?
A memorial service is a later gathering to honour someone after the funeral, or instead of a traditional funeral. It can be held in a church, hall, hotel, home or outdoor venue, and is often live streamed so family who cannot travel can still take part.
What Makes These Services Different
A celebration of life or memorial is rarely as formal as a funeral. There may be no coffin. The order can change. People may speak for longer. Music, photographs and film often play a bigger part.
That flexibility is why professional support matters. The venue may have no proper sound system, poor lighting, or unreliable Wi-Fi. I bring the cameras, microphones, screens, internet and playback equipment needed so the day runs cleanly.
Real Celebrations of Life I’ve Covered
One recent example was a celebration of life at the London Rowing Club on Putney Embankment. I provided live streaming and AV support. The stream was watched on more than 660 devices across 27 countries.
I’ve also covered celebrations of life at Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing and Pembroke Lodge in Richmond Park, as well as more intimate gatherings in halls, homes and outdoor settings.

Celebration of life services often bring together several different elements, and I provide a complete range of services to support every part of the day. Everything is managed by me personally, with care, discretion, and attention to detail throughout.
Live Streaming
Two-camera coverage, dedicated audio, bonded 4G/5G and Starlink where needed, a private viewing page, playback after the event and a downloadable HD recording available for 3 months.
Videography
A carefully filmed and edited record of the speeches, music, tributes and atmosphere — a funeral video the family can keep and share.
Photography
Discreet documentary-style photography of people, details and the quieter moments of the day, delivered through a private gallery.
Tribute Films & Slideshows
A film or slideshow created from photographs, video and music, ready to play during the gathering or share afterwards.
AV Support
Microphones, PA, screens, projectors and playback so speeches, music and tributes work properly in the room.
These can be booked on their own or combined. For larger events I can bring a small trusted team so everything is covered without the family having to manage it.
