Funeral AV Support UK | PA Systems, Screens and On-Site Technical Support

I provide funeral AV support across the UK — PA systems, microphones, TV screens and playback for tribute films — with someone on site to run it.

This is for funerals, memorials and celebrations of life where the venue sound is weak, the room is too large, guests are standing outside, or a slideshow needs to play at the right moment. Nothing is dropped off and left. I set up, test and personally manage the equipment on the day.

What is Funeral AV Support?

Funeral AV support is the sound, screen and playback equipment needed on the day — microphones, speakers, TVs, projectors and tribute playback. It is used when a venue cannot reliably play music, speeches or a funeral slideshow on its own.

Funeral AV Example — Overflow Room in London

One London funeral I covered was larger than the church could handle. I provided the funeral streaming inside the church, and across the road I set up an overflow room in a pub.

I supplied the large TV and sound system in the pub so people who could not fit into the church could sit and watch the funeral as it happened. The service was filmed in the church and shown in the pub as a live stream.

This is typical of larger funerals where the building fills quickly. AV support is what makes an overflow room work — clear pictures and sound so people there still feel part of the service.

Our funeral AV services

Funeral PA System Hire

A funeral PA system makes sure readings, tributes and music can be heard clearly.

I provide portable PA systems for churches, halls, crematorium chapels, gravesides and outdoor memorials. This includes mixing so speech and music stay balanced, rather than too loud at the front and lost at the back.

Microphone Hire for Funerals

Different parts of the service need different microphones:

  • A lapel or headset microphone for the officiant

  • Handheld microphones for readings and tributes

  • Extra microphones for musicians or open-mic moments at a celebration of life

I also manage music playback through the same system, so hymns, recorded tracks and tribute films come through clearly at the right moments.

TV Hire and Screens for Funerals

Funeral TV hire is used to play a slideshow or tribute film, show photographs during the service, or display the funeral in an overflow room.

Screens can be set up in the main venue, a church hall, a marquee or at the wake. If guests cannot all fit inside, the pictures and sound can be shown outside as well.

Funeral Slideshow and Tribute Video Playback

If a funeral slideshow or tribute film is part of the service, I can play it at the right point, at the right volume, without the family or funeral director having to manage a laptop.

I can also create the slideshow and run it on the day as one service.

Graveside PA and Outdoor Funeral Sound

Outdoor sound is one of the most common reasons families need AV support. Voices disappear quickly at a graveside, in a churchyard or at a natural burial ground.

I use portable, battery-powered PA systems and microphones so the committal, prayers and any music can be heard in the open air.

Overflow Rooms, Halls and Marquees

When a church is full, I can relay sound and pictures into a hall, marquee or area just outside the door. Guests there still hear the service and, where needed, see it on a screen.

Funeral AV Combined With Live Streaming and Videography

Funeral AV support often sits alongside:

Funeral AV Prices

Funeral AV support is quoted from the venue and what is needed on the day. A simple PA and microphone setup is straightforward. Screens, overflow rooms, graveside sound or tribute playback are added only if they are required.

I’ll send a clear quote once I know the date, venue and whether the service stays in one room or moves outside.
