Funeral Live Streaming, Photography & Videography in Battersea & Wandsworth | South London
I'm Shaun, and I provide professional funeral live streaming, funeral photography and funeral videography across Battersea, Wandsworth and the surrounding South West London area — from Ethiopian and Eritrean Orthodox churches in Battersea to crematoriums and cemeteries serving families across SW8, SW11, SW18 and beyond.
Battersea and Wandsworth are home to one of the most significant Ethiopian and East African communities in the UK, alongside substantial West African, Caribbean and multi-faith populations. I have experience working across all of these traditions, and I bring the same care, discretion and technical preparation to every service.
A Real Battersea Funeral — Ethiopian Orthodox Streaming at St Mary of Debre Tsion
One of the most moving and technically demanding services I have covered in South West London took place at St Mary of Debre Tsion Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Battersea — one of the principal Ethiopian Orthodox churches in the UK.
I travelled to London the night before to be ready for an 8am service, setting up cameras, testing connectivity and positioning microphones before anyone arrived. The coffin arrived wrapped in the Ethiopian flag. Four priests chanted the ancient liturgy in Ge'ez. Incense filled the church. The stream then continued to Islington & St Pancras Cemetery for the burial — in the rain.
Over 1,240 viewers from 12 countries and 42 regions joined live, including 383 in Addis Ababa, 193 in the UK, 140 in California, and viewers across Canada, Belgium, Italy, France, Switzerland and Germany.

Ethiopian and East African Funeral Streaming
Battersea and the surrounding area is home to one of the largest Ethiopian and Eritrean communities in the UK. Ethiopian Orthodox funerals have specific requirements that require genuine experience to handle well:
Early service times — often beginning at 8am, requiring overnight preparation
Ge'ez liturgy — the ancient liturgical language of Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity, chanted by multiple priests simultaneously
Incense and ceremonial elements — which affect both camera exposure settings and the visual character of the stream
Extended multi-venue services — typically moving from church to graveside, requiring coordinated setup at both locations
Global diaspora audience — with viewers in Ethiopia, the USA, Canada, Europe and beyond, stream stability across multiple time zones is essential
