Peterborough Crematorium Funeral Photography - R.I.P Baby Florian
Thank you to Louise and her family for the kind words and for allowing me to share the memorial images of their beautiful baby, Florian. Their generosity in opening up this moment may help other families who are facing similar circumstances and are wondering what it’s like to have their child’s funeral or memorial professionally documented.
The family had read a BBC News article in which I had been featured, discussing the increasing number of families choosing to have funeral photography or funeral videography for their loved ones — especially for babies and children. After reflecting on the idea, they decided they wanted these memories preserved and reached out to me.
The memorial took place at Peterborough Crematorium on a crisp, frosty, and bright morning. Just eleven guests attended — close family and friends gathered in love and support. The funeral hearse arrived gently, and the atmosphere remained peaceful and reverent.
Throughout the ceremony, I stayed as discreet as possible, respectfully capturing the moments that mattered. The celebrant delivered a heartfelt service filled with love, warmth, and remembrance. Following the service, we moved outside to the Children’s Woodland Memorial Garden, where the family laid flowers in a quiet and personal tribute.
It was an honour to be there for Baby Florian’s family — to help preserve these moments with sensitivity and care. I understand how deeply personal and delicate these events are, and always strive to offer families comfort through unobtrusive, compassionate service.
