Funeral Live Streaming, Videography & Photography in Yorkshire

I'm Shaun, and I provide professional funeral live streaming, funeral videography and funeral photography across Yorkshire and the wider North of England — from large city crematoriums and historic minsters to rural churches, village chapels and woodland burial grounds.

With over 2,500 funerals covered personally across the UK, I understand the specific challenges Yorkshire presents — older stone buildings that block mobile signal, rural locations where a single network is unreliable, and the full range of communities and traditions that make this region as diverse as anywhere in the country. I arrive early, set everything up before guests arrive, and work quietly throughout so you and your family can be fully present on the day.

A Real Yorkshire Funeral — Steve Halliwell (Zak Dingle, Emmerdale)

One of the most significant funerals I have ever streamed took place in Yorkshire in January 2024. Steve Halliwell — the beloved actor known to millions as Zak Dingle in Emmerdale — died on 15 December 2023, aged 77. His family described him as "making us laugh to the end" and asked simply that people "rejoice in a life well lived."

The funeral was attended by family, close friends and colleagues from Emmerdale. I provided funeral live streaming with a multi-camera setup and dedicated brass band audio, so that hundreds of viewers across the UK and around the world could share in the farewell — including a live performance of the Emmerdale theme as his coffin was carried in.

What Funeral Live Streaming in Yorkshire Includes

Every service I provide in Yorkshire includes:

  • Two-camera setup — wide and close angles for full coverage

  • 1080p high-definition live stream

  • Professional microphones capturing clear, balanced audio at every speaking point

  • Four bonded internet connections combined simultaneously — essential for rural Yorkshire locations and older stone churches where single mobile signal is often insufficient

  • Private viewing link shared only with those the family chooses

  • Full HD recording available immediately after the service

  • Stream hosted online for 12 months with a free downloadable copy

Everything is handled discreetly. Cameras are set up and tested before anyone arrives, and once the service begins I work quietly in the background.

Venues I Cover in Yorkshire

I regularly provide funeral streaming, videography and photography at venues across Yorkshire, including:

Lawnswood Crematorium, Leeds — one of Leeds's main crematoriums, with a distinctive chapel and well-managed facilities. I have worked here on multiple occasions.

Leeds Minster — a significant and beautiful church in the heart of Leeds city centre, requiring careful camera placement given the scale and the heritage setting.

Sheffield Crematorium — serving Sheffield and the surrounding South Yorkshire area. Well-suited to streaming with a clear interior layout.

York Crematorium — serving York and North Yorkshire. A modern facility with straightforward sightlines for camera positioning.

Huddersfield and Bradford crematoria and churches — I cover the full width of West Yorkshire regularly, from Calderdale to Wakefield.

Rural churches and chapels — across North Yorkshire, East Riding and the Dales and Moors. These older stone buildings present real connectivity challenges and I always bring bonded mobile internet rather than relying on venue Wi-Fi or a single network signal.

Videography and Photography Alongside Streaming

Many families in Yorkshire choose to combine funeral live streaming with funeral videography or funeral photography — the stream for those who cannot attend on the day, and a film or photographs as a lasting record for the family.

Managing everything as a single service means nothing is missed and the family has one person to deal with from enquiry through to delivery.

I also create funeral tribute films and slideshows from £220, and where AV support is needed at the venue — screens, projectors, music playback — I can provide that too.

Cultural and Community Experience in Yorkshire

Yorkshire is home to a wide range of communities and traditions — significant South Asian, African, Caribbean and Eastern European communities alongside established Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Sikh and multi-faith populations across the major cities. I have experience working across all of these traditions, adapting approach, camera positioning and audio to what each service requires.

I also regularly support families with loved ones abroad — in Pakistan, India, the Caribbean, Africa, North America and beyond — for whom funeral live streaming is the only way to be present at the service in real time.

Shaun did an incredible job filming our family funeral. This was so important to us as we wanted to share the service with our families in Jamaica, Barbados, and the rest of the world.

From start to finish, Shaun was incredibly easy to work with. His availability during out-of-hours and late at night was a pleasant surprise. The finished video he produced exceeded our expectations. He captured all the culturally significant aspects of the funeral, ensuring nothing was missed. He worked tirelessly throughout the day, filming the family home, the church, the open coffin, the burial, and the wake. He wasn't intrusive, but worked diligently and with the greatest respect.

The crisp quality of the video and audio was beyond anything we or our family had ever seen before. We are absolutely thrilled with our choice and feel lucky to have found him. We cannot recommend him enough.
