Real funerals in Manchester
William Temple Church, Wythenshawe. In August 2026 one family's day ran from this church to Southern Cemetery and Northenden Social Club. I streamed the church service for relatives in Jamaica and Canada, and the family also booked a film of the whole day, from the church to the reception.
St James', Gorton. In August 2024 I live streamed the church service and then the graveside at Phillips Park Cemetery, both for family who couldn't be there. Phillips Park is a large Victorian cemetery, so I check the plot and access with the cemetery office before the day.
Shaun did an incredible job filming our family funeral. This was so important to us as we wanted to share the service with our families in Jamaica, Barbados, and the rest of the world.
From start to finish, Shaun was incredibly easy to work with. His availability during out-of-hours and late at night was a pleasant surprise. The finished video he produced exceeded our expectations. He captured all the culturally significant aspects of the funeral, ensuring nothing was missed. He worked tirelessly throughout the day, filming the family home, the church, the open coffin, the burial, and the wake. He wasn't intrusive, but worked diligently and with the greatest respect.

Manchester's cemeteries and crematoria
Southern Cemetery in Chorlton is one of the largest in the country, and Manchester Crematorium sits right beside it. Phillips Park, Gorton and Blackley serve the north and east, and boroughs like Stockport, Salford and Rochdale have their own crematoria. Southern Cemetery is huge, so I check the section before the day.
