Filming at Wear Valley Crematorium

Yesterday I travelled to Wear Valley Crematorium in Bishop Aukland, Durham, on what has to be the hottest February I ave ever experienced. I’m so used to wrapping up warm for filming and photographing funerals this time of year. I spent the day with a lovely family who had booked me for Keith’s Memorial Service. I started the day at the family home. Keith loved football and was a serious supporter of Sunderland A.F.C. The family had all their football shirts on and asked for a group shot outside before the hearse arrived. Even Freddie his beloved dog had his own Sunderland A.F.C. shirt and walked in front of the hearse as it left the family home for Wear Valley Crematorium. When I got to the Crematorium there were lots of people waiting and before long the Hearse and Keith’s Family arrived. The ceremony was thoughtfully and beautifully presented by Humanist Celebrant Emma Cannon. The readings, poems, music, stories and tributes gave a real insight into what a passionate and kind man Keith was.

It was an absolute privilege to be there and Film his service on behalf of you all. It was also nice to meet and work alongside Matthew at Gibson’s Funeral Services.
