Funeral Live Streaming, Photography & Videography in Carnforth | Lancashire

I'm Shaun, and I provide professional funeral live streaming, funeral photography and funeral videography across Carnforth and the wider north Lancashire and Morecambe Bay area — from the town's own churches to crematorium and cemetery services across the region.

I arrive early, set everything up before guests arrive, and work closely with your funeral director, celebrant or clergy throughout, so that you and your family can focus entirely on the day. My role is to support the service without ever becoming part of it.

Real Carnforth Funerals

Church of England Funeral — St Mary's Church, Kirkby Lonsdale

I recently provided funeral live streaming for a beautiful traditional Church of England service at the historic St Mary's Church in Kirkby Lonsdale (you can read more about it here) — just over the Cumbrian border, within the Carnforth postal area. The coffin rested within a gated sanctuary area toward the rear of the church, enclosed by ornate metalwork and surrounded by the choir, so I set up a third camera there specifically to cover it — making sure those watching online could see the part of the service a standard two-camera setup would have missed entirely.

Family and friends gave readings and tributes from the church's striking golden eagle lectern, while the minister led the service from the raised pulpit. With three cameras trained on the lectern, the pulpit and the sanctuary, everyone watching remotely shared in the full service exactly as those sitting in the church did.

  • 1080p high-definition live streaming

  • Professional microphones capturing clear, balanced audio at every speaking point

  • Four bonded internet connections combined for a stable, reliable broadcast — never dependent on venue Wi-Fi

Funeral photography and funeral videography can be provided alongside streaming as a single managed service. I also create funeral tribute films and slideshows and provide funeral AV support where needed. You can also see my wider regional coverage on my Lancashire funeral live streaming page.

Venues I Cover in Carnforth

St Mary's Church, Carnforth — the principal Church of England parish church in the town.

St Joseph's Catholic Church, Carnforth — part of the Diocese of Lancaster, handling funeral masses through the parish, for Catholic families in the area.

Lancaster and Morecambe Crematorium, Powder House Lane — the principal crematorium serving Carnforth, around five miles south in Lancaster.

Beetham Hall Crematorium, near Milnthorpe — around six miles north over the Cumbria border, a well-regarded crematorium in a quieter, more rural setting for families further north.

Carnforth Cemetery — for burials in the town, alongside churchyards and cemeteries across the surrounding parishes.

Carnforth sits at the northern edge of Morecambe Bay, close to the borders of both Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales, which makes it a natural hub for families spread across a wide area. As well as the town itself, I regularly cover services across the surrounding towns and villages, including:

  • Lancaster — the county town five miles south, with historic churches including the Priory Church of St Mary

  • Morecambe — the seaside town to the west, with several well-used church and chapel venues

  • Silverdale — a village within the Arnside and Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where services are often intimate and carefully arranged

  • Arnside — a coastal village on the edge of Morecambe Bay, popular with families connected across Cumbria and Lancashire

  • Bolton-le-Sands — a village just south of Carnforth on the A6, with its own parish church and close community ties

  • Warton — a mile and a half from Carnforth, home to the historic St Oswald's Church, where the Washington family coat of arms is displayed

Because some funerals involve a church service followed by a committal or cremation at a second location, I am experienced in coordinating discreet coverage across more than one venue on the same day.

Cultural and Community Experience in Carnforth

North Lancashire has a mix of faith communities and traditions, and I approach every service with full sensitivity to the family's wishes, the venue's requirements and the customs being observed. This includes Church of England funerals, Catholic funerals, non-religious and humanist ceremonies, and services reflecting the cultural traditions of communities across the area.

Every service is shaped by its own traditions — hymns, spoken tributes, extended music, processions, multiple speakers, or a service in one venue followed by a burial elsewhere — and my approach is always respectful, discreet and led by what matters most to the family.

Connecting Carnforth Families Across the UK and Beyond

Carnforth's position at the meeting point of Lancashire, Cumbria and the Dales means funerals here often draw family travelling from considerable distances — and frequently from overseas. For those who cannot make the journey, a funeral live stream is the only way to be present at the service in real time.

I provide a reliable, high-quality broadcast that invited guests can watch from anywhere in the world through a private link, with a full recording to revisit afterwards in their own time. Rural north Lancashire can mean weak mobile signal at some venues, which is exactly why I run bonded connections rather than relying on venue Wi-Fi. To see how this works in practice, you can explore my funeral streaming examples.

Shaun did an incredible job filming our family funeral. This was so important to us as we wanted to share the service with our families in Jamaica, Barbados, and the rest of the world.

From start to finish, Shaun was incredibly easy to work with. His availability during out-of-hours and late at night was a pleasant surprise. The finished video he produced exceeded our expectations. He captured all the culturally significant aspects of the funeral, ensuring nothing was missed. He worked tirelessly throughout the day, filming the family home, the church, the open coffin, the burial, and the wake. He wasn't intrusive, but worked diligently and with the greatest respect.

The crisp quality of the video and audio was beyond anything we or our family had ever seen before. We are absolutely thrilled with our choice and feel lucky to have found him. We cannot recommend him enough.
