GreenAcres Epping Forest, Essex - Funeral - November 2018

GreenAcres Epping Forest, Essex - Funeral - November 2018

This was my first visit to GreenAcres Epping Forest for a Funeral and this is a truly beautiful location for a ceremony. Amazing woodland surroundings and the woodland hall and courtyard were breathtaking. Such a unique venue for a Memorial Service.

I was there to film the ceremony of a lady who had passed away in her early 40’s due to cancer. So so sad! I was filming on behalf of her children with the idea of capturing the ceremony and tributes so that once older they could view the film and gain a little more of an understanding of the day and how loved she was.

It was really nice working with Funeral Director Stuart Poulton for the first time and Funeral Celebrant Sally McManus who very skilfully and lovingly led the tributes on the day.

Rugby Funeral Videographer

Todays funeral was at Rainsbrook Crematorium in Rugby. Another beautiful family and I was asked to be their Funeral Videographer and film her mums funeral. The ceremony was led beautifully and the tributes we’re lovely to listen to. Once the ceremony was finished we went to St Andrew’s Rugby Club for the wake, which is where I finished with my filming.

Worcestershire Funeral Videographer - Macca Aged 18 - May 2018

Worcestershire Funeral Videographer - Macca Aged 18 - May 2018

I must admit that this was a very difficult day to film. A whole village came together to say goodbye to Macca who tragically died in a car accident aged just 18. The sense of loss for his family and village was immense but everyone came together to celebrate his life and share happy memories of Macca for everyone to reflect on.

The thanksgiving service took place at St James The Great in Cradley, Worcestershire and was beautifully led by the Vicar. Friends and family also took part sharing memories, singing solo's and focusing on the bundles of energy with which Macca had led his life.

Watford Funeral Videographer - Buddhist Ceremony - 10th May 2018

Watford Funeral Videographer - Buddhist Ceremony - 10th May 2018

Today I travelled to West Herts Crematorium in Watford to Film a Buddhist Sri Lankan Funeral. I filmed the arrival of the guests, the hearse as it approached the crematorium, pallbearers as they carried the coffin, the ceremony, family and friends as they paid their respects to Percy and everyone as they gathered outside afterwards before leaving for the wake.

The Buddhist monks added so much to the ceremony with their chanting sutras as they performed the traditional Buddhist rites.  Percy's family wore traditional white clothing and family members reflected on the way he lived his life and how he showed much kindness to others. He sounded like an amazing man.

It was an absolute privilege to be chosen to film this lovely ceremony on behalf of this beautiful family.

Feedback from Adam James Funeral Service

Feedback from Adam James Funeral Service

Dear Shaun,

After thirty years as a funeral director, I decided that upon the devastating loss of my own father that his funeral needed to be as exceptionally distinctive as possible. So that the memory of the day was not confused with the thousands of similar events conducted throughout my career, I turned to you to capture the entire performance on film, so that I could revisit the day in years to come.

Each and every detail that I had specified was videographer and edited to the highest standard, the sound and visual quality are superb. Your personal attention to detail was tasteful with a thorough understanding and knowledge of the event that you were engaged to document. The editing and varying camera angles have captured the entire funeral performance magnificently. All this was achieved by the remarkable non-intrusive and discreet presence of both yourself and your equipment.

I would not hesitate to promote and encourage any clients of Adam James Funeral Service to avail themselves of your excellence.

Warm Regards,

Liverpool Funeral Filming - Greek Funeral at St Nicholas Green Greek Orthodox Church, Liverpool

Liverpool Funeral Filming - Greek Funeral at St Nicholas Green Greek Orthodox Church, Liverpool

It was a really early start for todays funeral at St Nicholas Green Greek Orthodox Church in Liverpool. I started at the family home filming all the flowers, tributes, Horse and Carriage and family and friends as they all gathered for Elizabeth's journey to St Nicholas Green Greek Orthodox Church. Although I've covered lots of cultures, this was my first Greek Funeral in what was a very beautiful church. The gospel choir were amazing and added to the atmosphere of Elizabeth's Thanks giving Service. After the service we headed outside for the dove release and then it was on to Springwood Crematorium for the burial and final blessings.

It was a real privilege to capture Brenda's Memorial Service at Horfield Baptist Church in Bristol on behalf of her family. It was a short day for me as I was just filming the horse drawn carriage as it arrived at Horfield Baptist Church, followed by the Memorial Service and the family arriving at Filton Cemetery

Thank you to the Minister at Horfield Baptist Church. She was so accommodating which made my job so much easier. I would also like to say thank you to R Davies & Son Funeral Directors and memorial Consultants for finding me and booking me for Funeral Filming. It's always nice to make new friends.

A horse and carriage was arranged for her journey between the family home and Christ Church Clapham in London. Vicar Rev. Penny Rose-Casemore held a lovely service on behalf of the family, a soloist sang beautifully and various family members shared stories about her life. After the ceremony it was off to Streatham Cemetery, in Tooting for the graveside burial.

Manchester Funeral Videographer - Bikers Tribute

Manchester Funeral Videographer - Bikers Tribute

It's been a busy week with three funerals up and down the country in a row. Friday I travelled up to Manchester to Film Stephen's Funeral in Oldham.

Stephen suddenly passed away at the beginning of February which was a huge shock to the family. Stephen was massively into his motor bikes and so it was fitting that he had a bike Hearse for his journey to Hollinwood Cemetery and Crematorium where his memorial service was took place. After the service family and freinds headed to the Victoria Hotel in Manchester for his Wake and some final goodbye drinks.

A huge thank you to the Whitehead Family for inviting me to film the day. xxx
