Woodland Burial - St Albans Woodland Burial Ground- September 2018

Bedfordshire Funeral Videographer

Yesterday I was out filming for a lovely family at St Albans Woodland Burial Grounds in Bedfordshire. This was my 3rd funeral of the week and it turned out to be a very windy day. To be honest I was a little worried about the strong winds as this was an outside burial in the woodlands. I got there nice and early and found the spot in the woodlands where the burial was taking place. Luckily it wasn’t as windy in the middle of the woodlands as it was a lot more sheltered, so that was good news for me.

i got some lovely establishing shots for the film of the natural surroundings before the family and hearse arrived. I was stunned with how beautiful, peaceful and magical St Albans Woodland Burial Grounds was. A stunning place to be laid to rest. I can see exactly why the family chose this place.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart X ❤️

Thank you from the bottom of my heart X ❤️

Dear Shaun

When I first contacted you to ask if you would film my mother's funeral, it was such a stressful and devostating time for me. Right from the first phone call Shaun you put me at ease and I felt comfortable in what I was asking you to do. You went out of your way to help when the Rainsbrook Crematorium told me that I could not have cameras in the chapel. You spoke to them on my behalf and they allowed the filming to go ahead.

You captured everything for me from that day as it was so emotional for me. I doubt I would of remembered it at all but with your help I am able to see the film whenever I feel I need to.

You are so kind and passionate about what you do. I would recommend to everyone to use your service for their loved ones special day.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart Shaun.  X ❤️

Todays funeral was at Rainsbrook Crematorium in Rugby. Another beautiful family and I was asked to be their Funeral Videographer and film her mums funeral. The ceremony was led beautifully and the tributes we’re lovely to listen to. Once the ceremony was finished we went to St Andrew’s Rugby Club for the wake, which is where I finished with my filming.

Surrey Funeral Photographer - Clandon Wood Country Burial Grounds - July 2018

Surrey Funeral Photographer

This was a beautiful day at Clandon Wood Nature Reserve and Country Burial Ground in Guildford. At first glance you wouldn’t know that Clandon Wood was an award winning cemetery. Clandon Wood was originally designed as a nature reserve as well as a Natural Burial Ground and it truly is a beautiful place with graves scattered amongst the flowers, meadows, lake and trees. The site also hosts a glass Pavilion where ceremonies are held and this was the perfect venue for todays funeral. It was a pleasure to work with this gorgeous family and here are a few of their photo’s from the day.

Oxfordshire Funeral Photographer

Today I travelled to St Giles’ Church in Oxford for the Memorial Service and Burial of Professor Stanley. As a Funeral Photographer it’s always a relief when the Vicar is easy going and Rev Andrew Bunch was an absolute pleasure to work with. It was also lovely to meet Funeral Director Lucy and her team from the Individual Funeral Company who originally booked me on behalf of the family.

Worcestershire Funeral Videographer - Macca Aged 18 - May 2018

I must admit that this was a very difficult day to film. A whole village came together to say goodbye to Macca who tragically died in a car accident aged just 18. The sense of loss for his family and village was immense but everyone came together to celebrate his life and share happy memories of Macca for everyone to reflect on.

The thanksgiving service took place at St James The Great in Cradley, Worcestershire and was beautifully led by the Vicar. Friends and family also took part sharing memories, singing solo's and focusing on the bundles of energy with which Macca had led his life.

Watford Funeral Videographer - Buddhist Ceremony - 10th May 2018

Today I travelled to West Herts Crematorium in Watford to Film a Buddhist Sri Lankan Funeral. I filmed the arrival of the guests, the hearse as it approached the crematorium, pallbearers as they carried the coffin, the ceremony, family and friends as they paid their respects to Percy and everyone as they gathered outside afterwards before leaving for the wake.

The Buddhist monks added so much to the ceremony with their chanting sutras as they performed the traditional Buddhist rites.  Percy's family wore traditional white clothing and family members reflected on the way he lived his life and how he showed much kindness to others. He sounded like an amazing man.

It was an absolute privilege to be chosen to film this lovely ceremony on behalf of this beautiful family.
